M3 Move-On for Teenage families

M3 Move on is a scheme that offers young single parents or young families, aged 16-25 yrs, the opportunity to have the experience of a fully furnished tenancy, with support for approx 12 months and throughout the East Lancs area.

Young people on the project will be supported to learn new living skills whilst living in independent community units, and this will be supervised by the Senior Project Worker through a combination of home visits and a four week training program.

The training program consists of the following awareness sessions:

Rents & Arrears

Money Management

Health & Well being

Dealing with neighbours

Introduction to home safety

Young people are encouraged and supported to seek appropriate training and/or work environments as part of a progression into fully independent living.

Once young people have completed the resettlement program, the Senior Project Worker will help them access appropriate permanent housing to suit their families’ needs.Financial resources will also be sought in order to help them furnish their own new home.
